Ministries

GUATEMALA
Bio and Derida Ochaeta run the Discipleship and Vocational Training Center “Paths of Hope”, a business-oriented ministry to youth at risk in the Peten region of Northern Guatemala- an area afflicted by gang and drug dealing activity. At the Center, young men, many of whom come from dysfunctional and needy families, are taught the Word, trained in carpentry, welding and mechanics, and provided the resources to continue their formal education at a private Christian school.  Some of the boys continue their studies beyond that, acquiring college degrees.

In addition, the Ochaetas work closely with a network of local churches, providing pastoral care and leadership training by teaching and hosting conferences, seminars and marriage retreats.

INDIA
Mission in Action is a Christian based group which works mainly in India to provide care for orphans, provide medical clinics, clean water and drills water wells where needed.  They have primary schools, have food distribution programs and care for widows as well.

WORLDWIDE
Seventh Day Baptist Missionary Society is a part of the SDB General Conference of US and Canada of which our church belongs.  The stated objectives of the Society “shall be the dissemination of the gospel in the United States, Canada and other parts of the world, and the promotion of kindred religious and benevolent works.”  This is carried out by partnering with individuals, churches and ministries as they carry the message of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, and teach His disciples to obey all He commanded.
